Sat alone except for brodyline, tipping wine in a bottomless well
resting idly on the balcony I look back at the old photographs
For some reason, time stood still and graced me with this scene

I remember late December scarfs of wool and mittons
Roxy bar and nervous laughs first time we were self sufficient
Summer may have thawed our game but still we stayed together

Now I wait here 13 years away with a smile and a fountain of fool
Reminiscing sets a symphony made of time and the hindsight of youth
For some reason, time stood still and graced me with this scene

I remember June in weather, festivals and picnics
Tepid cider, games of rounders, music in the garden
Autumn may have turned it grey but still we stayed together

I remember late October fireworks in Keston
All night parties non stop laughing everybody kissing
Winter may have chilled us tame but still we stayed together
